Warm Up with Open Mic Night at the Merc

Winter evenings just got a little more fun as area talent takes to the Shelstad Stage at the Madison Mercantile!

The depth of talent in our region is fantastic!

On the third Friday of each month, the Shelstad Stage is the place to be as locals share their talents with us. Whether you sing, play an instrument, write poetry or even interpretive dance, the Merc is the place to bring your new work to the public eye and give it a test run! All are welcome on the stage and our crowd is known for being supportive and collaborative for those picking up the mic. We will help you at every step along the way so if it is your first time picking a mic, don't worry--we've got your back!

Don't want to step on stage? Then please come down and support those who do! It's a family-friendly environment that is a showcase for a huge variety of musical stylings and other arts. The Merc offers coffee, soda, beer and wine as well as having light snacks and pizza for purchase during the show.

Open Mic Night at the Merc is scheduled for the third Friday of every month through May. 2025 dates are:

May 16.

Sign-up begins at 5:30pm and the first person takes the stage at 6. All are welcome!
